Shall We Catch Up?

Wow, Well sure has been a while. I've been a busy bee. What can I say? I had a fun weekend, for those of you who even care. I went to my first cage fight. Seriously, I never thought I would have that much fun watching people beat each other up! I don't know that it was the fighting I liked so much as people watchin. Every fighter seemed to have a cheering section and when it would be their turn to fight the antics would start. Sitting there as an outside spectator I didn't feel the need to concentrate on any one person so I just focused on saying random things and seeing how the people around me would react. That was the greatest entertainment a little actress like myself could ask for. I would yell things like "Do the reverse wolverine pull!!!" or "Use your super-secret weapon." I figured that way everyone knew I had no clue what was going on, yet I was still there just to be goofy and have fun. ahhhhh good stuff!

I had lunch with my friend Janice yesterday and she brought up an amazing point that she wanted me to discuss and that is that gas stations don't sell mascara. Now's the time when you are all "uhhhhhh...k?" But really think about it for a minute. They sell Q-tips, Luna bars, sewing kits, beer, toilet paper, air fresheners, diapers, novelty mugs...but not something simply like mascara. I think it's apparent that guys must be the buyers for the Circle K and Mobile.

Last but not least, I wanted to fill you in on my big trip coming up. I'm traveling allllllll the way to Fruitland, Idaho for my cousin's graduation. My cute little Wy Wy or as he prefers to go by Wyatt(which makes sense because he's 18 and it's his name) is going to be all grown up! Graduation is on the 20th of March and I can't wait to scream and hold signs for my cousin who has a football scholarship, straight A's, and voted Prom King. It's almost disgusting how perfect he is at stuff! Any how, that is going to be a weekend to remember. Anytime my family gets together it is nuts. OK, well I better do my job now.

A Bitter-Sweet Wednesday

Well I guess I didn't miss anything by going to the movies last night instead of watching the results show of American Idol. After, what I would call a mediocre night of performances on Tuesday, No one got sent home! Wait, wait, wait...back that trolley up! I thought this was and Elimination game. I'm sure the network thought it would be cute to keep everyone on for an extra week to say in accordance with this weeks theme, "Charity," but...wow. That's all I have to say. I wonder if everyone realizes that it just means two people are going home next week. DOUBLE ELIMINATION!
On a good note though, I did go back and watch "Blades of Glory" for the second time. Holy funny movie Batman! I just love it! The concept of a male-male pairs team who hates each other. You have Jon Heder, who played Napoleon on "Napoleon Dynamite", as a feminine performer who prides himself in his technique and grace paired up with Will Farrell, a sex addict who's soul goal is to get the crowd excited and lives by his personal mantra "Chazz Michael Michaels IS figure skating." So many great one liners and uncomfortable innuendo's makes this movie an instant classic. As soon as it is released on DVD, It will join my collection of Funnies.

DON'T SEE "PERFECT STRANGE"

So, I went to the movie "Perfect Stranger" with my friend Nick tonight. uhhhhh that movie blows! Don't see it. I just thought with a cast like Halle Berry and Bruce Willis, it would be a pretty good suspense movie. I guess they both were just running short on cash and needed a quick movie to pop out. It had like 3 different beginnings and 5 endings... THE MOVIE WOULD NOT END! If it wasn't for me dropping my phone underneath the person infront of me's chair, then we could have left early. Anyway...don't see it. It's a waste of money and I plan on going back to the theatre tomorrow and try to get Nick his money back because I feel real bad for wasting it.

OK...So, I suck at life. I brag about my favorite show all the time and rag on Sanjaya on a regular basis and the ONE week that he gets kicked off I decided to have a social life and missed what I had been praying for. That's right folks: SANJAYA IS GONE!!!!! Seriously, if he survived country night...I would have know it was straight up rigged!

I feel as though I have let me loyal readers down and to all 3 of you, I am sorry. No longer will I sacrifice my responsibility as a writer for my own selfish happiness. =)

If you saw it, let me know what you thought! I'm gonna try to look up the video's on You Tube now.

Country Night!

Yes!!! My favorite night of American Idol is approaching! I love country music and tonight the mentor is going to be Martina Mcbride who is easily one of my favorite! What am I looking forward to? I so want to see Sanjaya, the screw-up, attempt to sing country. haha It is going to be a moment everyone is sure to remember. Every radio stations were talking about it this morning. I'll be sure to post my predictions tonight.

What else do I have going on these days you are probably wondering? Well, I had a bit of a wild weekend that I won't go into detail about. I did, however, learn that I am SUPER bad at horse shoes but I am amazing at beer pong. How does that work? I also got a bed, but no mattress so I stole my roommate's daughter's twin mattress off her bed...it looks pretty awkward.

Dude, I so woke up this morning with a gnarly bruise on my right leg...uhhh STRANGE and I can't cross my leg because it hurts. I am like a little walking disaster! On the flip side, I so got 2 post cards and a love note in the mail yesterday. I was all "Wow, good mail day for me!"

If you can't tell, I'm super tired right now so I'm not always making sense. I've had a couple days that are just crazy and as a result I am a human anxiety ball! Here's my analogy: Like a ping pong ball bouncing around in an air tunnel with high powered fans blowing hurricain force winds. SOMEONE TURN THE FANS OFF!

Anyway...I'm watching American Idol tonight and I will tell you all about it after.

Dun Dun Dun...Friday the Thirteenth!

Well Hailey got kicked off!! Thank god that shaky voice behind those beautiful gams is gone! I will admit it, she had great legs but is that what American Idol is all about!? I will have to admit that I didn't catch the J-Lo results show because I was busy watching Napoleon Dynomite and petting my friends pet Tortus. (I know super strange.) What I do know is that I didn't miss much because I'm not surprise. I know the next 2 to go as well. It will be Phil next week and then, if there is a God, Sanjaya. At some point everyone's antics will have to fade to the background. Not that it happens every year though. I mean, look at Taylor Hicks for instance. What a goober!! What is he doing now? Doing an ad for "Just For Men?" It's Kathryn McFee who is raking In the dough with her new single and countless photo shoots and people cover stories. OK...I'm done now.

So today is totally Friday the thirteenth and let me tell you how I know. I woke up this morning at around 5am to get ready for work. TOTALLY BROKE MY TOE!! That's right, I ran into the door stopper and busted the toe next to my pinky toe on my right had side. Youch! Then I went to work and got in trouble with my boss because of my poor work habits the day before, which I totally admit to. My brain was so not in the game. THEN...I didn't pack enough lunch so I was hungry and then I was in traffic all the way home and then the icing on the cake is they didn't have my bra size at Dillards...not because they are big but because they are normal! ahhhhhh Can't I catch a freaking break?!?!?

Anyway, I didn't even know it was Friday the thirteenth till I was at the nail salon and the lady was giving me a pedicure and kept pinching my broken toe on "accident." The woman next to me was like... It's so Friday the Thirteenth for you huh. Then it occurred to me...OK I can blame all the bad things on that and know that tomorrow is gonna be Ooooooooook.

Alright, I'm my way out to hit the town, hopefully I make back alive. =)

The Big Day Part II

In the words of Randy Jackson "I don't know Dawg...it wasn't my favorite performance." That was my feeling for the whole show. In all, it was bland. Latin music always has the big sound behind the vocalist and the rythm line just wasn't big enough so it sounded like awkward Karaoke. Latin music,by history, is full of emotion and staccatos and straight attitude. This week was very show tuney...take a look at my short comments on each of the top 8.

Blake: Sexy, as usual. He of course won the coveted "Best performance of the night" comment that they all reach for each week.(I think we all know who the networks favorite is.)

Chris: Yum! Maybe it's just because I am a girl, but I just love his voice. It's edgy and makes every song sound sultry yet fun. Great rendition of the song "Smooth." Although, I won't disagree that he sounds a lot like a Justin Timberlake rip off. What were they calling him again? Oh, yes, Justin Timberfake.

Sanjaya: A joke as usual always looking for leverage. This week he had his sister and his obnoxious friends in the crowd making a ruckus the entire show. He is just a joke of a human.

Jordan: I was actually checking my casserole during her performance! haha the good new is the casserole turned out as perfection!

Latisha: I won't lie, great vocals but predictable song. She sang "Conga" but pronounced it "Canga" which was really distracting. Plus, not meaning anything offensive, but bigger ladies just can't dance to Latin music. It's not right!

Hailey: It's a good thing she has nice legs and acts seductively...enough said.

Phil: I thought it was a great vocal and one of his best performances. No one seemed to agree with me. Whatever!

Melinda: She sounded like she was 40 years old and sang a song I had never heard of and was glad I hadn't ever heard. For the first time Simon said something negative about her performance and it was refreshing!

So who's gonna go home?! I'm going to narrow it down to three just because I never seem to know with the secret voting of India. I would say Sanjaya(simply because I wish he would be gone!) Phil(because he always seems to be on the chopping block) and Hailey(She can't hide her annoying show-tune goat voice behind her good looks forever!).

That's just what I think though...Who do you see going? Let me know!!

The Big Day!

Happy Tuesday world! I woke up in a surprisingly good mood today. My sister is Miami and my parents are flying to Hawaii today...I'm pretty sure I should be jealous right now, but I'm not. I've had a fabulous work morning so far (all hour and forty five minutes of it) and after my second cup of coffee, I'm finally starting to wake up. So what is on the agenda you might ask? Well, tonight is a big night, as every Tuesday is. That's right! American Idol is on! I love nothing more then watching these talented people sing to survive the competition.
The one person I don't understand though is Sanjaya. I could slap that fake little smile right off his stupid little face! Man he is irritating! I know, I know, he's from Seattle. I don't care anymore though! I've switched teams! I'm a Jordan fan who's from Phoenix and I'm still a Blake Lewis fan, who I'm proud to say represents Seattle in a talented light. Sanjaya has only stayed on because he has all of India voting for him and people just want to see what he will do next show. I call it the Kelly Pickler phenomenon. Kelly was a good singer, but the only reason she made it so far was because of her blond antics. At least she was lovable though! Sanjaya just can't seem to see why the judges give him criticism. I feel the need to make it a little more clear. Here's comin' atcha Sanjaya: "YOU'RE NOT ANY GOOD! WAY TO TAKE UP A SPOT OF SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY SING!"
And so are my Tuesdays...the day I wait for each week in my pathetic life where for an hour I can remove myself from the sweltering heat of Arizona and get caught in the cool magic known as "American Idol."
Stay tuned for my post this evening that will reflect on my feelings of the performances and my prediction of who will be going home tomorrow!

A case of the Monday's!

Well folks...today I came down with a case of the Mondays. My sister is in Miami, my parents are on their way to Hawaii, my friend Greg is in Europe and where am I? At the University of Phoenix at 6am. I know I shouldn't complain. I've been all over the US and places in Europe and even to Africa but, ya know what, I am going to complain a little bit.

Pretty sure no one wanted to talk to me at work and I got hung up on a lot, I got kicked off the treadmill at the gym with one mile left in my 8 mile run because I was "over the cardio limit," and then I made a new recipe that I think was too salty.(Blake thought it was good though) So basically, I'm a grumpus!

But to look on the bright side, I am watching nick at nite and having a glass of wine. Can't beat that! =)

I have a blog too!!

Muhahah everyone else has blogs so figured...I should have one too! Welcome to my life. Here I am new in a new state and pretty much just wondering the desert like Joshua from the bible did. That is except I can eat levin bread. Other than that, I work at the University of Phoenix and enroll all the stupid people of the world in school with the hopes that the rest of the world will learn to except our ignorance.

You might ask yourself...what is the point of this blog? Well let me tell you...I am told on a regular basis that if they were bored they would like to just like to have me appear and entertain them for a while. So....that is what I am going to do via blog. It's not that I say anything very interesting I just say what most people are thinking and then I take it a bit too far.

I will give you the daily low down on my new life and what I think about everything with the occasional brain fart. Make sure to check out Friday and Saturday because that is always exciting!
